For super-dog "Bolt", every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue - at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet - a cross-country journey through the real world to get back to his owner and co-star, Penny. Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and the help of two unlikely traveling companions -- a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens and a TV-obsessed hamster named Rhino -- Bolt discovers he doesn't need superpowers to be a hero.

Barking madness...

PaulaWestwood from , 19th February, 2009

Bolt is an all action screen superhero dog who believes the scripted on screen heorics he performs are real life, and he really is saving the little girl who owns him in each episode. Unfortunately the painful truth af his lack of real powers comes to light when outside the studio he believes his owner has been kidnapped, and embarks (em-BARKS - couldnt resist it !!!) on a cross country journey to rescue her. WQe watched this in 3D buth whether or not you do doesnt really mater as in any case this is superbly animated fun that has humour and interest for young and old alike, very entertaining.

Another Great Kids Film!

ChrisArmitage from from Halifax, England, 18th January, 2009

Bolt, an American White Shepherd voiced by John Travolta, plays a super dog in a hit TV show but fully believes his super powers are real and the girl he protects truly is in danger. When he is accidentally separated from his owner and leaves the set into the big wide world he must find his way home and save his best friend and owner Penny, voiced by Miley Cyrus. Meeting Rhino the Hamster, voiced by Mark Walton, and Mittens, voiced by Susie Essman along the way he leads an exciting adventure full of laughs and tribulations in this heart warming tale. Great for the kids and adults alike, with brilliant CGI, although not the best I've seen, I recommend this to any audience. 4 Stars!

Bolt 3-D

Rayblu from , 10th February, 2009

Great script with dry and witty VO delivery. Very funny with the usual moral message for the kids. See it in 3-D for stand out performances.

Great family fun

AlfieG from , 20th March, 2010

Out of all the recent cartoon cinema releases this is one of the better ones. originally in the cinema as 3D even the 2D version makes a good movie for all the family. Its exciting, funny and sentimental in places. The voice acting is good and the characters are better than in most cartoons, Bolt is brilliantly played by John Travolta and perfectly animated, but, the real star of the show is Rhino the Hamster on Red Bull who whizzes his way through the movie at such speed and with so many good lines that he steals the show. Great family film that adults and kids will all love.
