Good fun film - very interestingly put together

Geoff from Sussex, UK, 16th February, 2009

First off watching this on Blu-ray is amazing, as this is easily one of the sharpest and most colourful films made in recent times. The story is pure bubblegum, however with some moments of adults too. What is most interesting to a geek like me is the way the film is composited. A normal film uses focal point to tell you the view what to concentrate on i.e. if it's in focus, look at it. In speed racer they have decided to use digital technology to make everything in sharp focus. This is pretty trippy, but gives the whole thing a fantastical and cartoony feel. Give it a go :)

Too childish...disapointing

A Customer from Southampton, England, 25th November, 2008

I found this too childish to get into and ultimately turned it off. Make no mistake...this is a kids film from the directors of the Matrix. There isn't much here for adults to latch on to. One to rent fo the kids only

OH MY GOD

A Customer from Manchester, 20th May, 2009

This was a very boring irratating film that i thought would never end.Looked promising in the beginning reminded me of pushing dasies the way it was filmed.Have to say i felt completely brain dead when it was finished.

Speed Racer

Saffi from , 30th April, 2009

This was a lot more enjoyable than I expected. The Wachowskis have created a Manga-impersonating family film which is a lot of fun but still a load of nonsense. It's incredibly far-fetched and there's so much light and colour that I'm amazed I didn't get epilepsy from watching it. Still, it's worth a rent because the visuals are amazing and despite some issues there's a lot to enjoy.

not worth a watch

A Customer from england, 14th April, 2009

stay away from this one. my 9 year old thought it was ok but anyone over the age of 9 will wonder what is it all about. from the weird colour effects to the split screen sequences and a completed innane story line. could have been so much better.
