Chori Chori Chupke Chupke

srini from KENT, 27th October, 2003

The movie revolves around one man and two women, and the plot is the same old one. It has been made into movies so many times, but this has a contemporary touch, with good performances from all of the actors. You will be pleased to see that at last Salman Khan has matured to act in a character role - it is the first time in 13 years of his career he has performed well.

Chori Chori Chupke Chupke is that of a bar dancer named Madhoo (Preity Zinta). Her mind is full of money, money, money all the time. Salman Khan is married to Rani Mukherjee. They are left a will which states that unless the couple has a baby, they can't claim the property. But they find out that Rani can't conceive. That's when Salman Khan decides to ask Madhoo to be the surrogate mother. Of course, she agrees she could do anything for dass lakh.

Chupate Kyun Ho?

JohnnyRoss from , 24th April, 2006

Probably the most bearable Salman Khan film, C4 is a strong and ferocious film; cutting boundaries and doing a good job. Rani and Preity's chemistry is awesome - and this is probably Preity's best performance ever! She is both lovable and admirable acting first as the Julia Roberts character from Pretty Woman, and then as the sacrificial lover. Though the songs are poor for Abbas-Mustan standards, the story holds firm, and indeed will keep you guessing what may happen right till the end!

Take it or leave it

Hibiscus from Surrey, 29th January, 2005

Well Pretty Woman was made in 1990 and this DVD was released in 2001 so I think it is safe to say that this is an Indian copy of Pretty Woman. Entire shots were copied e.g. When Vivian embarrasses a guest at the fancy hotel outside the elevator; when her custom is refused at a clothes shop; when she embarrasses him at a restaurant etc which was tiresome.

But America copies Japanese horror films all the time e.g The Ring etc so you cannot complain. However an Indian twist is put on the story and the characters are likeable. A couple of the songs are OK. It is a film where you can either take it or leave it.

Great For a Night In

Kiruben from , 5th February, 2008

The casting is perfect, the dialogue superb and the score incredible. I would rate this movie as one of my all time favourites. Salman Preity and Rani have a chemistry that produces a classic. Pretty woman bollywood style.
