If your under 30 you probably missed the original series of Minder but nows your chance to watch all 108 classic episodes from 1979-1994. I don't really need to say that the chemistry between Dennis waterman's Terry to George cole's Arthur Daley is nothing lesser than legendary ! Cole in particular plays probably one of the top 5 british tv characters of all time..the mans performance is pure genius..definately akin to David jason's portrayal as Del boy. The best years were the waterman years between 79-88, then the show took a 3 year break and was relaunched with Gary webster playing arthurs nephew Ray as his new Minder after waterman decided to quite citing 'he was getting too old for the role' which in hindsight he prob was as he was well into his 40's when he quit..webster was only in his late 20's but never shared the chemistry waterman and cole did with each other..George cole was reason enough to keep watching though and he didnt disappoint. A truly amazing slice of british tv and miles better than anything on these days. Lots of famous guest appearences too with the likes of Robbie Coltrane,Gordon Jackson,Ray Winstone,Billy Connelly,Brian Blessed,Jimmy Nail,Billy Murry,Adam Faith and Honour Blackman all appearing in various eps. A special shout must go the the excellent Patrick malahide as Arthurs arch nemesis Detective 'Cheerful' Charlie Chisholm who is constantly after Terry and Arthur ! RENT THIS ASAP..YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED !
