Robin is a changed man, swearing vengeance against Guy of Gisbourn. Fuelled by anger and grief, Robin seems stuck in a downward spiral, but a new beacon of hope arrives in the form of a travelling monk called Tuck (David Harewood), who soon gets our hooded hero back on track. Meanwhile, the wickedness of the Sheriff continues unabated. A spirited Locksley girl named Kate (Joanne Froggatt) objects to her brother's forced conscription. As a result she inadvertently gets caught up in the cause of Robin Hood and becomes an indispensable member of the gang. As the threat of Prince John (Toby Stephens) looms larger, Robin and Gisborne have to reach an uneasy truce as it emerges that they may have rather more in common than they thought.

A Spin on the legend

Mayuk from , 4th July, 2009

I was sad to find out yesterday that this series has been axed by the BBC it certainly brighted up my Saturday early evening viewing. Series three introduced a number of new charcters both good and bad. I really enjoyed Isabella as the wronged sister of Guy who came to Nottingham for her own reasons. I thought Joanna Frogett as the feisty Kate was spot on and her will they or wont they fall in love with Robin kept us guessing till the end. Toby Stephens was great as Prince John a really hissable baddie and Jonas Armstrong had lost none of his spark as a more modern Robin Hood. Watch this show and it wont disapoint many twists and turns throughout the episodes and great fun.

Thank God the rubbish is going off TV

Utterly silly. The A-Team in funny clothes. Waiving swords about and firing arrows that never hit their mark and a skinny little Robin that would have had trouble lifting a blade. Completely unbelievable tosh.
