Classic Stupity - So Funny

Andrew Hunter from Glasgow, 22nd April, 2005

Been so long since I've seen it, but it hasn't aged. Dirty Harry meets Police Squad whilst taking the micky out of Witness and countless other American films and cop show. Sledge is obsessed and hilarious. His beautiful assistant is...well beautiful!! Highly recommended.

Trust me..

Michael Perris from Guildford, Surrey, 13th November, 2005

'This is Sanchez - his parents were so certain he'd turn out bad, they put him up for adoption three years before he was born.' I used to watch Sledgehammer after coming home from the pub as a teenager - I remembered it as being funny but I'd forgotten how well most of the jokes work. Some of the lines fall flat, but the rest had me in hysterics. It hasn't aged and is good clean fun.

Outstanding!

A Customer from Scotland, 21st January, 2009

Inspector Sledge Hammer is the kind of cop who only uses physical violence as a last resort, when his 44 Magnum is empty and there isn't a bazooka handy. Can't beat up a suspect outside city hall? Just force him at gunpoint to beat himself up. Somebody threatening to jump off a ledge? Just shoot at him until he dives back into the building for cover. Laugh out loud funny. Sledge Hammer is one of the most hilarious, and idiotic, cops on TV. Outstanding!

Ok (ish)

A Customer from Woodbridge, 21st January, 2009

Not really as good as I remembered it - however it was always after coming back from the pub. It's a tad 80's now.

Not as good as remembered

A Customer from London, 2nd July, 2007

Video quality is pretty poor, but it is an American TV show, so originally in NTSC. The laughter soundtrack has been removed in the DVD which is OK, except that there are pauses in the acting while they allow for a laugh. So in places it's a bit stilted. Still manages to raise a chuckle, though, which is better than some of the rubbish on air at the moment.
