For Ballet fans

I'm not a great ballet fan so this wasn't quite what I'd expected. It's ballet with a narrative story line, easy to follow even on fast forward, with a large ensemble cast.

Interesting for dance fans
A Customer from Belfast, 24th March, 2006
A slightly dated selction from the DTH, but still good value for dance fans, and it's always great to see Arthur Mitchell, for my money the most inspiring person in the Arts. A good mix of pieces, with much more musical and choreographic variety than they have had in recent years, when almost all we have seen from them has been Stravinsky/Balanchine. A major quibble: this disc is VERY hard to negotiate around, and it takes quite a bit of clicking to get to see all of the prologue sequences and dance pieces.
Great Dance -- outdated

This dvd has a value for anyone who's interested in dance and especially in the Dance Theatre of Harlem. It's a recording of old productions and as such it has a more historic value than entertaining. Some of the pieces have a more narrative style, which I'm not particularly keen into, but it may be your cup of tea.
