comically awful

A Customer from bracknell, 3rd March, 2006

So bad its good. Terrible corny dialogue is the main problem. Sample:- Instructor (Tommy-Lee Jones in usual Tommy-Lee style of delivery) to pupil pilot:- 'If you crash and kill us all, this mission, will be, a failure.'

Ok .... If Theres Nothing On Tv

laura from skelmersdale, 21st June, 2007

I usually like Nic Cage films but this was not one of his best outings and Sean Young as his leading lady was about as wooden as my garden fence. Tommy Lee Jones plays the ageing mentor in a likeable but not very believable character. Some good flight sequences with the helicopters though. Not bad if theres nothing on the telly.

Genius!

packetst0rm from from London, 3rd October, 2008

Top gun for helicopters! I remember watching this little cheesey gem when I was a kid. When I saw it again I was not disappointed. The acting is not exactly great ( or good ) but it's pure indulgence! I loved it, so will you if love a bit of cheese!

Embarassingly bad

Mott from from Aylesbury, 14th July, 2008

I'm a self-confessed aircraft nut and will endure large quantities of poor dialogue and wooden acting to see some decent aerial footage, but this one drove me out to do the washing up. I like Nicolas Cage and Tommy Lee Jones but even they couldn't rescue this hog (and I think Cage gave up trying after 15 minutes). The story line wouldn't make it into a comic strip. I doubt anyone is expecting anything particularly cerebral when they hire this but, honestly, save 90 minutes of your life and do something else.
