A Great feel good movie, about love, life and race. A young couple overcome their personal issues in the pursuit of love!

oh dear

Like watching some sort of training video for race awareness. Stilited, poorly acted, heavy handed and with a central love story with no chemistry.

A good film.

A Customer from Bucks, England, 26th April, 2007

Don't be fooled into thinking this is your usual rom-com. It doesn't strictly fill that genre - which is a good thing. Something New rarely makes you laugh, but it is an interesting perspective on mixed-race relationships and the chemistry between the leads is certainly watchable. I enjoyed this and would watch it again.

If you like films like, Brown Sugar, Love and basketball etc you will love this film, it is predictable but so are a lot of films, a very enjoyable film.

Watchable, just about

BigMeUp from , 3rd August, 2010

This film is, unfortunately, mediocre at best. However the chemistry between the two leads serves to alleviate the hackneyed phraseology of the couple's 'problems', and Sanaa Lathan is undeniably easy to look at. The main difficulty with this film, I think, is that scriptwriter(s) never quite decided if it was a rom-com or a drama. The result is an uncommitted film which fails to satisfy at any meaningful level. Still, Sanaa Lathan - phwoooar!

Yes the title does not say much but what a great film. Even better if your a fan of Simon Baker as he is looking hot. A great chick flick with the ever happy ending. Loved it.
