Contemporary India. A majestic fort. A royal dynasty that no longer rules. A king without a kingdom. Yet Eklavya (Amitabh Bachchan), their royal guard, lives in a time warp. He lives only to protect the fort, the dynasty, and the king.

Unable to cope with the suffocating customs of his land, the heir, Prince Harshwardhan (Saif Ali Khan), has stayed away in London. But the sudden death of the the queen, Rani Suhasinidevi (Sharmila Tagore), forces him to return to a land troubled by unrest. The King, Rana Jaywardhan (Boman Irani), influenced by his brother, supports the atrocities being forced upon the helpless peasants. This soon results in revolution, unveiling the safely guarded secrets of the fort that Eklavya has protected for so long.

From the trailers I was expecting something different. I have to say it was quite good and if you have time for an Indian film you should watch it www.uk-mobilestore.co.uk

Good movie, bad experience

A Customer from London, 20th June, 2010

Movie is very interesting. The only problem I had is, I was watching it online on this site and it was nightmare, every 5 seconds it goes to buffering. I have experienced this for all the movies.

I expected a great movie from this strong cast in this film. This film is pointless and has no direction or clear story. Do not, I repeat DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME in watching this movie. This is BIg B disappointing film.

Good Movie and not too long

Chantal from , 10th June, 2010

THis is short of 2 hours with only one song and beautiful sets. A great story wher eyou easily forget that this nowadays. The palace, the action and the story are all of royal and noble connptation. Well worth watching.

Worth a watch

A Customer from Swindon, 5th June, 2010

Excellent cast, brilliantly directed in an Indian royal kingdom & a typical village back drop. Beware, stretchy in the beginning and racy towards the end but not action/adventure movie. Animation during the Titles holds the key and serves as prologue of Ekalavya, the ancient mythological hero. All in all worth a watch.

Weak Story Line, disappointed

A Customer from Basingstoke, 23rd November, 2009

Very long and slow film with a weak story line. The acting is very predictable and the director seems to have gone overboard with the long pan-shots to cover up for the story. In all, disappointed with the movie and one I wont be watching again.
