Korean Cop Drama

drunkenmaster from , 29th December, 2007

Another solid if not too original cop thriller from Korea. A group of police officers with different lengths of service and experience are part of a task force dealing with street crime. In particular a trio of thugs who rob, kill and rape apparantly just for kicks. As much of a character study as it is a traditional drama there are some great moments of human strengths and failings along the way. Solid acting and an underlaying sense of humour overpower the occasional spurts of shocking violence to give you a life affirming piece rather than a depressing one. There are better thrillers available out there, but this will pass an evening well enough.
