Did i play the same game as everyone else is going on about?????

Chris Hoskins from Devon England, 2nd April, 2008

While i could sum this game up in a mere sentence, crap crap crap crap crap full stop. I dont think it would make a very good informative review and seems i get a tad annoyed when people on here feel that 'yeh well good mate' is sufficient enough information to post in a review it would be hypocritical for me to do the same sort of thing, so heres why i'd rather stab out my own eyes then endure this awful gaming experience again. Having been bitterly disappointed with Sega Rally a couple days ago (see other review for details) i was hoping the next game to be posted through my door wouldnt let me down, when i saw i was to be sent Moto GP 07 i wasnt exactly......happy about it ive had half life the orange box as my only high priority title for about 3 months now,so im just not going to bother with the whole priority anymore as it doesnt look like they do but enough about that. i got this on the morning of April the 1st and a thought did cross my mind that maybe Mr Tesco was playing a cruel April fools day trick on me, and at any moment he would pop in my room shouting 'gotcha!!' then handing me the real game everyone seems to like so much but alas that was not the case it just is a really awful game, and while im usually a very tolerant gamer this only lasted about an hour in my house which is probably some sort of record. I guess i should qualify my statements instead of just rambling on condemning it like some dirty kiddy fiddler so thats exactly what i shall do. Firstly im not sure which game all the other reviewers were playing, they go on about it having better graphics then the last.....well my God id hate to see the previous versions!! this one looked like it was animated by a child. Thats a clear exageration but you get the point its far from impressive. the game play is T E R R I B L E!! now some smart alec might reply to that im just no good at motor biking games but i'd tell them go suck a fat one cos ive always enjoyed these types of games always avoiding the Moto GP series as it seemed as dull boring and bland as i now discovered it is but i was a big fan of the Riding Spirits series and Tourist Trophy both very realistic driving simulations. Its not even that the un user friendly handling that put me off as you could get the hang of it eventually and get some enjoyment from it ( the sole reason for my 1 star) but even then seeing how many bees you could swallow would easily tempt you away from it. Don't even get me started on the sound track the developers in an obvious attempt to be 'down with the kids' put some rubbish American rock trash on there which i was so opposed to i subsequently had to burnt my speakers off. The AI is ri-bloody-diculous the other riders don't have any problems with crashing into you at over 100 MPH sending you flying, ok i know its not real life but being the 'supposed' official motor sport racing game you'd expect the other racers to act accordingly or at least in a non suicidal fashion. I didnt try it on live as i'd lost the will to live by the point this aspect crossed my mind but unless it has a totally different game there that isnt Moto GP 07 or a down loadable 'make the game bettter' pack then i dont feel i've really missed out on anything special. the one thing i cant fault it on is that it includes all the real tracks in fair detail and all the current riders but thats nothing i couldnt look up on wikipedia and have a lot more fun doing so. I cant really think of much else to say about it.......i just want to forget the whole experience and hopefully the next game im sent will restore my faith in the games industry,i've endured this torture so you dont have to AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!! if you played this game and enjoyed it or thought it was actually good email me at factmyster@hotmail.com cos ill have to enter you in the worlds biggest moron competition.

More or less the same, but with better graphics!

Richard Birkett from Lincoln, England, 31st August, 2007

For a start, if you're looking for all new gameplay from the other Moto GP games in this title, then you will be disappointed as this is more or less exactly the same as the other titles in the series in that aspect. However, it does look much nicer and the graphics and detail are all great. Also the developers have added options to customize your bike much more. Also added for the new game is different challenges for each track (although I find this a way of adding something that no one really wants- although you do get gamerscore!). A few more tracks are in the package now and a new class in extreme. Online is the same, although you can now gamble your custom bike with another player in pink slip racing. So overall, if you really need the new tracks etc. then go for this but otherwise stick with the older 'Moto GP 06'.

Not bad

A Customer from Brighton, 3rd October, 2007

The graphics are better than 06 and the controls feel a little easier, from what I tried of the online mode it also seems to lag less than the previous version, other than that it is pretty much the same game! Not a bad game but not good enough to keep me away from the likes of Forza 2, rainbow six or Gears of War! Worth a go but two days of this was enough to last me a life time.

Good but...

I. M. Cool from Essex, England, 14th August, 2008

This game is really good and there are more tracks, characters and bikes as well as split screen play and other single/multi player modes. However, both single player and Xbox Live play are included in the free demo. Not only this, but you can invite your friends to an online game rather than just playing random people and hoping that you will meet your friends. You may as well download the demo really.
