not quite the final battle

Rudi Drake from Devon, England, 27th February, 2005

A quality sci fi series from the 80's. Just to straighten a few things up this is not the conclusion of the saga its quite the oposite the saga goes in this order: V the mini series (which is infact a 2 part pilot movie), the final battle and then the 19 episode series which finishes it all off. Sadly the 19 episode series is not available in the UK on DVD but it is in the US so get ur self a copy of the set or try and find the vids which are now quite rare.

V is the cult science fiction of the time.

V is not really the best show since sliced bread. but it is very, very addictive. 'The Final Battle' is the final set of episodes in the series.
The storyline basically sees the human
resistance up against these bird[or mouse] eating aliens. A poor girl is pregnant with an alien baby- little does she know there's more than one! What happens with these children I cannot say but it is very exciting and adventurous! The music is very 80s but still full of suspense. The funniest characters were Donovan due to his worried expressions while the actress who played Diana was completely over the top! The idea that aliens are lizards from space is both funny and scary. All in all, corny and daft but also exciting with some rather scary moments. Very much of the time and worth the watch.

See it- you don't know what you're missing!

The Visitors are here!

A Customer from St Helens, England, 25th January, 2005

I remembered watching this on tv years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. So much so that I bought the entire series on video. I still have the first parts and have watched them a number of times, but managed to misplace 'The Final Battle'. It was nice to watch these again, and it prompted a big clear out to find my own copies. I'm glad I did! I still look at these as one of the most enjoyable 'alien invasion' film/series ever made, but without some of the more amazing effects that are now available. Very entertaining.

V

This was THE sci-fi show to stay up late for when I was a kid. Since I was going through a sci-fi phase recently decided to give this a bash. Pretty good effects for the time and the baddies were great especially Diana (Jane Badler who was hot!). Pretty good story about the aliens coming to Earth to use humans as food and drain us of water before moving on to the next planet. Well worth a view.

V is for very good

Whytespirit from , 25th November, 2009

This brings back the memories of boyhood watching spellbound at the telly as the world was invaded by aliens. Fantastic sci-fi which looks dated now but with fond nostalgia. Apparently view by 65 million on its debut broadcast presumably worldwide figures there!!!) and acquiring a cult following which the tv producing company failed to respect and cash in on - they slashed budgets and costs and so the quality went down - noticable on the 19 episodes set - WHICH IS AVAILABLE IN THE UK (the dominant online website which sells books, dvds and music.....). Still a cult following is a cult following and they took what they could get.... Watch it with a mind that it is over 20 years old and the world has moved on since..... Fab!

Furry Treats

Since there are very few films which propose an authoritarian stance, this type is all you will be able to watch if you want a taster of how such things could be. Inevitably it is not very flattering and you have to accept that the whiners will triumph in the end, but it is still nice to put the fast forward on, and indulge in a few scenes of putting the boot in. Something that never fails to please is the mouse-eating; it’s one unbeatable aspect of V.
